On Tuesday, July 12th Dr. Janette Lun from\u00a0Scientific Workforce Diversity in the Office of the Director at the National Institutes of Health (NIH)\u00a0will join AWIS DC to help tackle this important topic. Join AWIS DC\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.awisdc.org\/?page_id=16\" target=\"_blank\">Here!<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Janetta Lun, Ph.D.<\/strong>\u00a0is a senior behavioral scientist in Scientific Workforce Diversity in the Office of the Director at the National Institutes of Health (NIH). In this position, she works on evidence-based approaches and interventions to enhance the diversity and social inclusion of the scientific workforce at NIH.\u00a0 In 2013-2014, she was an AAAS Science &amp; Technology Policy Fellow in the Office of Program, Policy and Management of the Bureau for Democracy, Conflicts and Humanitarian Assistance at USAID.\u00a0 Her fellowship work supported the implementation of the U.S. National Action Plan of Women, Peace and Security at USAID.\u00a0 She earned her Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Virginia with research on the social-cognitive basis of intergroup attitudes and behavior, as well as cultural psychology. She had also held positions at other organizations such as UVA\u2019s Center for Advanced Study on Teaching and Learning and Chemonics International where she conducted program evaluations and projects review.
