Cheers, Dear AWIS-DC Members and Friends, Please join AWIS Bethesda, AWIS DC, and the AAAS Center for Careers for an interactive evening with AWIS member Dr. Sherry Marts based on material from The Book of How: Answers to Life’s Most Important Question.Appetizers will be served at 6PM with the discussion beginning around 6:30PM. This will be more than a typical “author talk.” You’ll explore the question of “How?” through exercises, practices, and lively discussion. The Book of How answers the single question that other self-awareness books typically fail to answer. That question is, How? When you know how you end up where you don’t want to be, and how to get where you want to go, then you can get off any rutted dead end road that stops you. The Book of How provides clear specific instructions how to find - or even build - a new road. In response to our latest survey, we are launching an annual Career Development Workshop series. Our first event will be a USAJobs.gov Federal Resume Workshop led by The Resume Place, Inc. on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm at the AAAS Building, 1200 New York Ave, NW.. Join us for light refreshments and networking at 5:30 pm before the workshop.
